Personally, I tend to prefer keeping costs down. I don't mind if transportation from the accomodations is a little longer, if it keeps costs down to that extent. Also, I don't really do the "souvenir" thing, since I collect WAY TOO MUCH CRAP as it is. I'll probably find something, though. I usually do.
If we were really going to do this, I think it should be the full monty. Meal plan, linked tickets, etc. You know, not saying that others who want to go their own way can't do that--even with a bunch of linked people, we could probably work out a dinner with anybody else who just happened to be in the area on that date--but a big part of the attractiveness of this idea is doing it as a group. That makes it Option #1, in my opinion.
I'm going to casually mention marzolan again so that he comes by to check this entry out. :) If he's skittish about leaving his email out in the open, I can always email it to you. Or get him to contact you directly.
What are you thinking of using as a mailing list? Something semi-official, or just "Tabbie has a bunch of email addresses"? :)
