Just got approval for my Dealers Room application -- if all goes right (And by which I mean "World War Three doesn't happen before then"), I'll be exhibiting my works at Further Confusion next year :D

I haven't been this excited about a convention in quite a while, though I'm admittedly using it as an excuse to take spotweld to California. He's never been, and there's so much to see.

I plan on making at least a week of it, outside of the convention itself. Fly into San Jose, fly out of Los Angeles, drive down the coast because he's never been to Disneyland and we're both Disney geeks. Hopefully we will have a day in San Francisco, too, where I will overindulge on sourdough bread.

And actual decent Mexican food. And See's chocolate. And In & Out Burger. Oh my yes. You can just roll me home, I don't mind.

Plus there are several people I am hoping that, by going to this convention, I will finally be able to meet in person and share a meal with. Who wants to come to Disneyland with us?

Not kidding on that last question, if you're free the week following Further Confusion :)

We'd love to see you! And we'll have a guest room for you two if you need a place to stay during, before or after-con. Our house is about 8mi from the convention center.

And a road trip down south could be very do-able. :)

That would be utterly amazing! It's so much nicer having a place to "come home to," as compared to a hotel (neither of us party, and I'm usually so exhausted after playing salesperson that I am cool with dinner and watching movies/playing board games [or something equally lazy]). If you don't mind us crashing at your place, anyway -- you know all the local awesomeness far better than we could find out through our iPhones.

I will warn you in advance: I've been to California a lot but it's been a decade since my last trip -- I'm totally a tourist. Sorry :#)

We'll have to treat you to several dinners/delicious tiki drinks, or pay your admission to Disneyland, if/when you let us crash!

I'm glad you guys are taking time after the con for a proper vacation. The trip down the coast is a wonderful drive!
