This weekend sucked.

Friday night was spent in the hospital. Everything is fine, now, but my blood sugar was 19, so that meant medical intervention was needed. I was conscious the entire time, if not exactly coherent, so I guess that's good?

Saturday had some severe emotional exhaustion in the evening. Please do not ask, I do not want to get into it, let's just say that someone I thought I knew became a selfish asshole sometime in the past couple years and I got the brunt of it. Nothing like being guilted for being sick to make you feel like shit.

And Sunday, cramps. Because my body is just bullshit. I also had to put off freelance work from Friday night until tonight and I need to stop taking things at the last minute because they are really, really stressful and I kind of hate giving up my weekend.

Nothing like a weekend of stressful emotionally (and physically, and not in a good way) wearing bullshit to start your week.

I'm really glad you're okay. That's impressive that you were conscious through the whole thing. When I was at 29 I was as close to unconsciousness as you can get without being unconscious. It's such a weird sensation.

Thank you for getting all the buttons done for me. They arrived yesterday morning and I got 'em sorted into boxes, bags and on the spinner.

I had no idea they caused so much stress, so getting a button maker will be my next con equipment purchase.

It's not the button making that was stressful, it was the "These HAVE to be done before Tuesday to mail and we got the designs on Friday and oops, hospital" stuff. I know how it is, not having until the last minute -- I do it every con, pretty much, and I need to stop to tone down my own stress -- but adding the "Oh god what if the postal service fucks this up" bit means I had even less time than I would if I was doing it for my own convention stuff, where we can literally assemble buttons at-con.

I may start charging extra for buttons that need to be done in less than a week, because it gives so much less time for real life stuff like hospital visits (which are extremely unusual) and having to end 15-year friendships (also super unusual, it was just a really fun weekend #sarcasm).
